Warung Alus

Tested on September 13, 2026 by Nami, who paid the bill.

A relaxed beachside warung in Seseh with excellent fish, delicious food, a clean and quiet beach, swimming access and standout mango sticky rice.

The review

A lovely beachside warung in Seseh

I have visited Warung Alus three times so far, and it has quickly become one of my favourite places to eat by the coast. The setting is a big part of the appeal: the warung sits right by Seseh Beach, so you can enjoy a meal with the beach close by and take a swim straight from there. When I visited, the shoreline was very clean and there were hardly any people on the beach. It is a lovely change of pace if you are looking for somewhere relaxed and away from the busier coastal crowds.

Great fish, satisfying food and mango sticky rice

The fish is a real highlight for me. I found it delicious, and the food overall has been great on each of my visits. The menu offers a range of seafood and local-style dishes, which feels like a natural fit for a warung right on the beach. My personal standout, though, is the mango sticky rice. It is so good that I would happily come back just to enjoy it again after a meal.

What I especially like about Warung Alus is how well the food and location work together. You can settle in for a proper meal, enjoy the beach atmosphere and then head down to the water for a swim. With the beach clean and quiet when I was there, the experience felt especially enjoyable. It is the kind of place where the setting is not just a backdrop; being right beside the sea is part of what makes a visit memorable.

A spot worth seeking out

If you are exploring Seseh or Munggu and want a meal right by the beach, Warung Alus is well worth a visit. I have been three times so far, and each visit has reinforced how much I like the combination of delicious fish, very good food and a beautiful beachside location. Be sure to save room for the mango sticky rice; it is one of my favourite things about the place.

Warung Alus is located on Jln Pantai Seseh in Munggu, near Mengwi, and is also known online by the relaxed “Chill Out Bro” phrase used on its social posts. For a casual meal with beach access, a chance to swim and a quieter stretch of coastline, it is a wonderful choice. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for good seafood and a memorable meal by the sea in Seseh.
