Mount Lesung

Mount Lesung, also called Gunung Lesung, is a mountain near Lake Tamblingan and Munduk in northern Bali. The mountain lies in the central highlands of Buleleng and is approached through farmland, jungle and forested volcanic terrain.

What you find there

Hiking routes lead toward the crater rim and a small temple in the summit area. A published circular route begins near Tamblingan, passes through agricultural land and primary forest, and returns by the lake. The mountain environment is more heavily forested than open viewpoints.

Hiking route

One documented route covers about 10.5 kilometres with 685 metres of ascent and takes approximately three to four and a half hours. Another mapped route from Lake Tamblingan covers about 9.6 kilometres. Trail conditions can include overgrown sections and difficult navigation.

The published location is Munduk, Banjar, Buleleng. Visitors should check recent trail conditions, use established routes and consider local guidance because weather and vegetation can affect navigation.
