Mex Tattoos is Balinese owned and operated and has worked in Legian for 19 years. It is a family-oriented studio with a focus on friendliness, cleanliness and a down-to-earth attitude.

Styles

Styles include Japanese and oriental, realism, portrait, fine line, small tattoos, geometric and mandala, and old school. The studio takes custom designs and large-scale projects that need several sessions.

How booking works

Clients first share an idea by sending a reference, sketch or description along with placement, approximate size and Bali travel dates. The studio discusses direction, recommends an artist and gives a quote before the client confirms. On the day, the design and placement are reviewed with the artist, and tattooing begins only once the plan is approved. Pricing is discussed over WhatsApp, and tattoos start from US$50 depending on design, size, placement, detail and artist.

Hygiene and aftercare

The workspace is clean and sterilised, and the website has hygiene and aftercare pages. Aftercare guidance is given after each tattoo, including points on Bali sun, swimming and travel.
