Kedungu Beach

Kedungu Beach is a black-sand beach on Bali’s southwest coast in the Kedungu area of Tabanan. The shoreline faces the Indian Ocean and is connected with the villages, rice fields and roads around Kedungu and Belalang.

Visitors find dark sand, reef breaks, coastal paths and views across the open sea. The beach is bordered by rural land and local settlements, while the nearby Tanah Lot area provides a wider context of temples and coastal agriculture.

Coastal setting

Kedungu forms part of the west-facing beach system north of Canggu and south of Tanah Lot. Wave action, tides and seasonal sand movement shape the shore and reef.
