Pura Meduwe Karang is a Balinese Hindu temple in Kubutambahan, Buleleng, in northern Bali. The temple is dedicated to Batara Meduwe Karang, whose name is associated with the protection and fertility of agricultural land.
What you find there
Visitors find a series of courtyards, gateways, shrines and stone reliefs. The temple is known for floral carvings, figures from the Ramayana and a relief showing a man riding a bicycle. The bicycle scene is identified with the Dutch artist W. O. J. Nieuwenkamp.
