Nico Dives Cool

This boutique dive centre based in Sanur offering guided diving and snorkeling around Bali. The team arranges day trips and multi-day safaris to a range of coastal and island sites, and runs training from beginner experiences to advanced technical programs. The centre provides equipment for divers and snorkelers and organizes transport for trip participants.

Activities include day trips, snorkeling excursions and multi-site diving safaris. Regular destinations include Nusa Penida, Tulamben, Padang Bai, Amed, Candidasa, Kubu, Menjangan and Pemuteran, with options at several Gili and Kubu sites. Snorkeling trips can be booked as short outings, and try-dives are available for first-time participants. Trips to manta ray cleaning stations are included among the Nusa Penida options when conditions and schedules allow.

Courses and trips

The centre offers a full range of SSI training, from try-dives and Open Water to Advanced and speciality courses. Technical programmes include sidemount, extended range, decompression and instructor training. Typical day trips run about 8 to 12 hours and include diving or snorkeling gear, lunch and snacks, and pick-up and drop-off. Training is arranged in small groups, with a usual maximum of two students per instructor for courses, unless guests request to train together in a larger pair or group.

Equipment and practices

Provided equipment includes Apeks regulators, Suunto dive computers and Aqualung BCDs. The centre states a focus on comfort and safety for guided activities and training. Sustainability practices include waste segregation, water bottle refills and baking snacks to reduce single-use plastic. In 2018 the operator received an award for efforts to promote sustainable marine tourism.
